About Me
My name is Mark. I live and bar tend in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I am currently saving money to make one of my life-long dreams a reality. I am taking a year-long backpacking trip around the world to explore other countries and their cultures.
By the time I was nine years old, I had lived as a local in Scotland and England, had traveled throughout Wales, and had visited Malta, off the coast of Italy. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the wanderlust had crept under my skin. Soon I was wondering just how many places I could see and how many people I could meet. I became fascinated with the endless possibilities. I continued my overseas travel as an adult in the Air Force, adding S. Korea, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Mexico to the list of places I’ve been.
Speaking foreign languages has always interested me as well. My goal is to speak to the locals and discover their traditions and way of life while attempting to speak their native tongue. I plan on volunteering my help wherever I can throughout my journey. I’d like to positively impact those around me everywhere I go.
